Provost

They warned us about blogging hence to be safe, I am switching back to more or less xanga for undisclosed blogging. As much as possible I will update this blog. 

Basically, life in the provost is like attending law school, think of it like the movie Annapolis. The first day I got the appointment of Platoon IC as well as section IC. Funny, how the week passes so fast. 

The camp itself is pretty small. The bunk is tiny but the bathroom is like those at the public pool. The rest of the stuff regarding training I can't write about it. 

Its a pretty good weekend to begin with, since I never really get to book out on friday. Went to beach road on sat morning together with Alex and Wei Jie, they are suffering in SISPEC. (Suffer in Silence, plus extra confinement) 

The rest of the day was spent at home playing games. I'm supposed to be reading the SAF act, but I just cant bering myself into doing so. The speech for the graduation? well, its the last thing I want to be bothered with. 

Booking tonight, pretty late as well, it is so much different from BMT simply we have a little more freedom. The next question would therefore be where I would like to be posted after the basic course...... 

Last

And today is the last day of my block leave. According to many, this would be the longest block leave one can get in NS.

The past 10 days was very enjoyably spent. Got to see some old friends and people like Soon Guan, Jimmy, KC and Jojo.

I find that not many people has got that strong brotherhood bond with their BMT mates as I have with my bunk mates. Strange indeed.

Eitherhow, the family celebrated my birthday today. Just a simple cake and presents. Its was very sweet of them.

I have got so much I would like to talk about, like the dinner with KC and Jojo and the last meet up of section 4 yesterday. But I guess writing too much of that graudaction speech had make me more than a little sick of writing such stuff. Eitherhow, good night and with me good luck for my new posting as a military policeman.

POP

Where should I start. 

I've finally POP out of Tekong, on the 11th. It was a great day to say the least. Though they made us did a lot of stupid cleaning and what have you. 

I spend the rest of the 12th at home. resting and really kicking into the mood of the block leave. 

on the 13th, our section had a little dinner gathering cum My (early birthday) celebrations. It was well, until the after dinner part where everyone wants to go home.... 

14th I want to Sim Lim Square to get myself an iPod Touch. Then spent the rest of the day and the next day morning hacking it. 

15th was kenneth's birthday at Boiler Room. It was okay. I think I can put up one entry just about it. It was a little sad. There's just less than a handful of us. I was expecting many more people. Oh well. 

16th Was back to nursing my hangover, and doing nothing

17th I want for a movie with Yong Hong and JJ. It was fine except of the fact that they were very late, and I am more than a little pissed. 

18th, which was yesterday, we had BBQ at alex's place. the turn out was not as good as expected, but we had fun. 

Today is Lionel's POP and I want to PS to get an refund for the mini fridge which did not even lasted for a day. I had Yoshinoya over there and it was good. The rest of the day was spent watching movie and organizing my music. 

Wow, how doing nothing time flies. in 2 days times I will be getting my posting and on Monday, I'll have  to report back to camp. 

We all agreed that this will be the longest break ever in our army life till somewhere near ORD. I must really take this chance to enjoy it. 

Tomorrow's plan is to meet up with Jimmy and Guan and maybe friday will be with KC and Jojo. I would really like to go blu jazz again, but at the same time, i got not much money left. 

24Km road march and A Levels

It had been a rather eventful week. There was the games days which my Coy came in 4th (A pretty good ranking taken that we've not really prepared much) I was a cheer leader, which was better than staying in bunk doing cleaning. I felt invloved at least. 

The next day was the 24km road march. It was life changing to say the least. I almost cried when I finished the march. 

I am a little short of time right now, hence just taking down the points which will helps me remember. 

Booked out on friday morning as the A Level results was to be released. Oh well, have to booked in early on sat night as there the GP rehasals. Shit. 

Got to go prepare to leave the house already, do not wish to be late as thats a sure guard duty doring block leave. No sir, i dont want that!

IPPT and SDC

The week pass by without me really realizing. All that I could remember was falling out from SOC and it rained and rained. Then falling out from SOC due to my ankle and was forced to see the MO but was then told not to by the OC.

Then there was more rain and the OC parade was canceled.

Before we knew it, it was Friday and the final IPPT test. The great news was that I only failed one station this time, the SBJ. Even for that, I’ve jump passed 200. The first time in my life I did jumped passed 200.

Though there will be a re-test as many had failed or were unable to complete. I still felt good about myself. I did not train for the coming re-test. I guess I am just too tired to be bothered.

Then later we were to go to SDC. We went off slightly after noon and waited for the bus to take us there. We waited and waited and waited and there was no bus. Finally they arranged for tonner to bring us there. By the time we were there, it was late 1600hrs. the place was to be closed at 1800 and hence the tour guide promised to make it a really quick one and to let us off at 1730. He did kept his promised. We were then left to rot and die over in Jurong. It took a very long time before we could get a cab.

I made it home eitherhow.

It was a pretty good weekend I must say. Watched 3 movies and really felt so much better. The school is pressing me for the speech. I had totally throw it out of my mind. They seems a little worried that I will not be able to produce it in time. Eitherhow, I will bring it to camp and do it then.

Today booking in early and it is raining again. I pray that it will not rain during the final 24km road march.

11th is the day. Oh how sweet. How sweet. This coming week will most likely be a pretty short one as well since there are news of the release of the A level results. Friday morning latest should that be the case for booking out. Then its just Monday and Tuesday and I am out of there!
